DONALD "D.A." Lannom

Donald "D.A." Lannom is a small business owner operating his own consulting LLC and serves as the Director of Operations of a Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business. D.A. and his wife, Erromelda, reside in Northeast Forsyth County, Georgia along with their family pets.

 

Following his retirement from the US Army, D.A. served nine years as a consultant with Booz Allen Hamilton serving Defense Department clients in Okinawa Japan and throughout the Korean Peninsula. His clients included III Marine Expeditionary Forces, United States Force Korea, Installation Management Command-Korea, and the 19th Expeditionary Sustainment Command. Mr. Lannom also served as the Operations Officer for the Defense Distribution Depot in Waegwan, South Korea.

 

D.A. served for twenty-one years as an Army Officer, culminating in his command of the Defense Logistics Agency’s Regional Command Office in Daegu, South Korea from 2003 to 2007. Earlier assignments included key staff positions in the 1st Cavalry Division and 13th Corps Support Command at Fort Hood, Texas; executive officer of the Defense Fuel Region – Pacific at Camp Smith, Hawaii; Company Command in the 6th Infantry Division at Fort Wainwright, Alaska; and platoon, company, and battalion level assignments in the 1st Infantry Division.
 

He was commissioned a second lieutenant in the Infantry upon graduation from the University of Missouri – Rolla in 1986. He has earned Master’s Degrees in Petroleum Engineering, Engineering Management, Business Administration, and Legal Studies in Oil, Gas, and Energy from University of Alaska Fairbanks, University of Maryland, and University of Oklahoma.
 

During his career, D.A. has deployed on combat tours during Operation Desert Shield/Desert Storm in 1990 and 1991 as well as Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2003. His awards include the Bronze Star Medal with Oak Leaf Cluster, the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, the Army Meritorious Service Medal, the Army Commendation Medal with two Oak Leaf Clusters, the Joint Service Achievement Medal, the Army Achievement Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, numerous combat campaign medals, the Combat Infantry Badge, and Army Parachutist Badge.
